I'm taking a Shakespeare course at UNB in New Brunswick and I love it to death. We just finished studying Othello, and learned about white men playing Othello after painting their skin black.
Has there, and if there hasn't, why hasn't there been a version of Othello done where Othello is white and everyone else is black? I think it would be very interesting. Instead of focusing on his blackness, they would have to focus on his difference instead.
Just an idea I had.
